Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals will battle the Central Division leading Medicine Hat Tigers this Friday, for Eco Night, at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m.

THE WINNING WAY: Last Sunday’s game versus the Calgary Hitmen marked the Royals’ 30th win of the season. The club became the fifth fastest team in the WHL and third quickest in the Western Conference to reach 30 victories and accomplished the feat in 51 games. This marks the team’s third fastest season to 30 wins, after reaching 30 victories in 47 games in the 2013-14 season, and in 50 contests in the 2015-16 campaign. The Royals have now cleared the 30-win benchmark for the sixth straight season.

MAKING HIS MARK: Royals’ forward Tyler Soy (138) is two goals away from tying former Chilliwack Bruin Ryan Howse’s all-time franchise record for most career goals at 140. Soy, who currently sits at 158 helpers recently became the franchise’s all-time assist leader when he surpassed former Royal and Bruin Brandon Magee (151) for most career assists. The Anaheim Ducks’ prospect also broke the franchise’s all-time points record (296) when he passed Magee’s total of 264.
