The Winning Way – With his 33rd win of the season, Royals’ netminder Griffen Outhouse set the new franchise record for most career wins at 85. The previous mark was set by alumnus Coleman Vollrath who totaled 84 wins in his four-season career (2012-16). Outhouse (33) is now also one victory away from tying the franchise mark for most wins in a single season at 34, which he set himself last season.

Red Hot Royals – Victoria had a trio of players extend their point streaks tonight. Blueliner Chaz Reddekopp has points in seven straight games and has earned two goals and five assists during that span. Captain Matthew Phillips has six points (1g-5a) in his previous three outings, while Noah Gregor has three goals to go with an assist in the same span.

Powerplay Picassos – Victoria’s powerplay scored in their third straight game tonight and the club has gone 6/12=50.0% during that span. Over the club’s last 12 games, the Royals have managed to record a powerplay mark of 16/51= 31.4%

Just “de Wit” – Royals’ forward Jeff de Wit, who recorded a goal and an assist tonight, returned to Victoria’s line-up after an 11-game absence. Since being acquired by the Royals in December of this season, de Wit has tallied 13 points (7g-6a) in 17 contests.

Big League Connection – The San Jose Sharks and Los Angeles Kings both had a pair of prospects face each other tonight. San Jose was represented by Victoria’s Noah Gregor and Spokane’s Jake McGrew, while Los Angeles had the Royals’ Chaz Reddekopp and the Chiefs’ Jaret Anderson-Dolan play in the contest.
