Victoria trades for 1998-born defenceman.

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce that the club has acquired defenceman Anthony Bishop (1998) from the Seattle Thunderbirds in exchange for forward Blake Bargar (1998).
Bishop is entering his third year in the WHL, after having competed in 66 contests for Seattle during the 2016-17 season. Over those games he tallied seven points (2g-5a) to go along with 34 minutes in penalties.
The Kelowna, BC native skated in 11 playoff games this past season, including all six contests in the final round as Seattle captured the Ed Chynoweth Cup.
The 5’11, 181 lb blueliner played 40 games during his rookie year with the Saskatoon Blades. He was acquired by Seattle in September of 2016.
Bargar competed in 61 games during his lone season (2016-17) in Victoria. Over that span he registered 10 points (6g-4a) along with 52 minutes in penalties. The Torrance, CA native was pointless in five playoff games for the Royals last spring.
