ROYALS SWING DEAL WITH BLADES

Victoria acquires two first round draft picks from Saskatoon for forward Eric Florchuk.

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals today announced that the club has acquired two WHL Bantam Draft first round picks (2019 & 2021) and a fourth round pick in 2018 from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for 2000-born forward Eric Florchuk.

A native of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Florchuk has recorded 28 points (7g-21a) in 43 games for the Royals this season. Florchuk is in his second year in the WHL and has registered 37 points (10g-27a) in 94 career regular season games with Victoria.

The Royals return home for a weekend series with the Kamloops Blazers on Friday and Saturday at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Friday is Ugly Blazer Night, while Saturday is Country Night.
