ROYALS’ TANNER KASPICK JOINS THE AHL’S MANITOBA MOOSE

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals are proud to announce that forward Tanner Kaspick has been assigned to the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Manitoba Moose by the NHL’s St. Louis Blues.
Kaspick was drafted by the Blues in the fourth round, 119th overall, in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. In October of 2017, the Blues signed the 1998-born forward to a three-year entry level contract.
The native of Brandon, MB recently completed his fourth season in the WHL where he appeared in 60 regular season games split between Victoria and the Brandon Wheat Kings. Kaspick set career highs in goals (25), assists (39) and points (64). In the Royals’ most recent playoff run, the 6-1, 206 lb forward contributed with a goal and two assists in two games.
Last November, he was a member of Team WHL at the CIBC Canada Russia Series where he tallied an assist.
During the 2015-16 season, Kaspick registered 30 points (12g-18a) to help the Wheat Kings capture the Ed Chynoweth Cup as WHL Champions. In 21 post-season contests he totaled 10 points (5g-5a) and 28 minutes in penalties. At the conclusion of the 2015-16 season he was named WHL’s Scholastic Player of the Year.
In 216 career regular season WHL games between the Royals and Wheat Kings, Kaspick recorded 158 points (58g-100a) and 192 penalty minutes.
