Victoria completes trade with Regina for hometown forward.

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce that the club has acquired 1999-born forward and Victoria, BC native Tanner Sidaway from the Regina Pats in exchange for an eighth round pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.
In 63 contests split between the Pats and the Kootenay ICE last season, Sidaway recorded five points (1g-4a) and 76 penalty minutes. During the 2016-17 season, the 6-0, 181 lb forward registered two goals and six assists to go along with 61 minutes in penalties in 65 games with the ICE.
Over the course of his 130 game WHL career (2016-present), Sidaway has collected 13 points (3g-10a) along with 137 penalty minutes with the Pats and ICE.
Prior to his time in the WHL, the Juan de Fuca Minor Hockey Association product played for the Westshore Wolves of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (2015-16) and the South Island Royals of the BC Hockey Major Midget League (2014-15). He was originally listed by the Red Deer Rebels in 2014.
