ROYALS MAKE TRADE WITH BLADES

Victoria acquires the rights to prospect K’Andre Miller from Saskatoon.

Victoria, BC- The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce that the club has acquired the rights to unsigned prospect, defenceman K’Andre Miller (2000) and a sixth round pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft from the Saskatoon Blades. In exchange the Royals have sent signed prospect and forward Arjun Atwal (1999), and a conditional draft pick to the Blades.

Miller, a product of Hopkins, MN, is a member of the USA Hockey National Team Development Program (USNTDP) Under-17 team in the United States Hockey League (USHL). The 6-3, 192 lb blueliner has registered three goals and six assists, along with 10 minutes in penalties in 28 contests with USNTDP.
Earlier this season, Miller played for Team USA at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge where he recorded one assist in five games.
Arjun Atwal
A native of Edmonton, AB, Atwal currently plays for the Sherwood Park Crusaders of the AJHL (Alberta Junior Hockey League). In 33 games for the Crusaders, the 5-8, 170 lb forward has collected 31 points (14g-17a) to go along with 23 penalty minutes.
Victoria will next travel to Prince George to take on the Cougars on Friday, January 6th and Saturday, January 7th. Puck drop for both games is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
