Royals’ Marcus Almquist Signs with the Rødovre Mighty Bulls of Metal Ligaen

Almquist was the 27th overall pick in the 2020 CHL Import Draft
Victoria Royals forward Marcus Almquist has agreed to a professional contract with the Rødovre Mighty Bulls of Metal Ligaen.
The 19-year-old hails from Rødovre, Denmark, and will begin playing for his hometown team at the beginning of the 2023-24 season. Almquist has previously played 19 games for the Rødovre Mighty Bulls while he was on loan to the team during the 2020-21 season, during which time he amassed 5 goals and 6 points.
Almquist was originally drafted by the Royals with the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 CHL Import Draft. The forward would go on to record 33 points on 19 goals and 14 assists in 82 games over the course of two seasons with the Royals.
